The Beginning – A Spark in Shapur
In 1951, in a quiet village named "Shapur (Sorath)", my great-grandfather started something beautiful. With no machines, no big banners, and no luxuries—just bare hands, fire, tools, and skill—he began crafting made-to-order gold and silver jewelry. Every ornament he made was not just a product—it was a symbol of trust, made with his own two hands.

This humble shop laid the foundation of "SKKL – Soni Karshanji Kurji Lodhiya", a name that would be whispered with respect across our village and nearby towns.
As time passed, my grandfather and father stepped in. They introduced 'ready-made jewelry', slowly evolving with the times. Yet, the soul of the business remained untouched—purity, hard work, and honesty.

My Steps into the Legacy
Growing up in this environment, I, "Hardik Lodhiya", always felt connected to our roots. After graduating with a BCA, I returned—not to take over, but to learn. I spent days and nights absorbing everything I could from my father and grandfather—understanding how designs were made, how customer trust was earned, and how every ornament had a deeper meaning.
But somewhere deep inside, I felt a desire to evolve.
I realized that to take SKKL into the future, I needed to bridge the old with the new. That’s when I went to "Hunner Sala in Rajkot", a renowned institute to learn modern jewelry-making techniques. It wasn’t just about machines—it was about understanding global trends, aesthetics, customer psychology, and precision.

Reimagining the Store, Against All Odds
When I returned, I saw the store the same way it had been for decades—desi-style floor sitting, old furniture, and a setup that didn’t match the evolving tastes of modern customers.
I gathered the courage and proposed a renovation—new interiors, proper furniture, and a customer-friendly layout. But the idea wasn’t easy to digest.
"Shapur is a small town," they said. "People won’t understand this upgrade."
Even friends questioned it. "Why waste money in a place where customers don’t care about luxury?"
But my parents stood by me.
We took the risk.
We upgraded the store.
The result? Phenomenal.
Customers felt more welcomed, they stayed longer, browsed more, and most importantly—trusted us even more.

A New Dream – The Birth of Silver Ocean
While SKKL continued to grow, I started seeing a new trend emerging. People—especially the youth—were gravitating towards 'stylish, premium, imported 925 sterling silver jewelry'. Lightweight, trendy, affordable, yet elegant. This was something our current store wasn’t offering.
So I began researching. I studied the urban market, understood consumer behavior, visited different stores, and found the gap.
That’s when the idea struck:
What if we bring something completely new to Junagadh?
"A dedicated premium silver jewelry brand", inspired by global design but rooted in our values.
I wasn’t alone in this. My childhood friend, "Hemal Devani", who had seen my journey from day one, stood beside me like a pillar. He knew my passion, my fears, and my vision—sometimes even better than I did.
Together, we took the leap.

How do I measure my wrist at home?
- Wrap a measuring tape (or a strip of paper) snugly around your wrist just below the wrist bone.
- Mark the overlap and measure in centimetres.
- Add allowance: +1.5 cm for a comfortable bracelet fit, +1 cm for a snug fit.

Tip: most Silver Ocean bracelets — like the Blush Love heart bracelet — include a 1–1.5 inch adjustable extension chain, so one size fits most.
How should a kada fit?
A kada (rigid bangle) is sized by inner diameter. Measure the widest part of your hand with fingers folded together (as if putting on a bangle). Open-cuff kadas — the majority of our women's and men's kada collection — flex a few millimetres, fitting most wrists between 15 and 19 cm.
